Klondike BarI will never forget the song nor will I forget the gestures in the commercials. Will you act like a monkey for a Klondike Bar? Will you bark like a dog? The commercials are hilarious.

What if I told you that the commercials are admirable?

I respect the fact that someone would go to any extent to get what they want – even if it is crazy and embarrassing. They do it because it is important.

As a Christ follower what would I do for the gospel of Christ? What would do so that someone would be receptive to hear about the life changing reality of Jesus Christ? If people are important to God they should be important to me. If I see them as important I will make them priority. I would laugh with them. Cry with them. I would share life with them.

I love what the Apostle Paul did for the gospel of Christ.

Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. 1 Corinthians 9:19-23

Paul was on a mission. He would do anything so that people may come to know Christ!

After all God is so much better than a Klondike Bar. 🙂

What would do for a Klondike Bar?
