The Art of Neighboring – Dave Runyon
Alex Enabnit – Programming Coordinator
This weekend we had the special privilege to have Dave Runyon speak here at Central. If you’re not familiar with that name, you may be familiar with his book, The Art of Neighboring, which we have looked at as a church in the past.
In the message, Dave talked about how he got started with the idea of neighboring in his hometown of Denver, the ways that it has impacted his community, and what it could do for Central if we followed the suggestions he gave today and wrote about in his book. He ended the message with a challenge: how well can you fill out the 3×3 grid that represents your neighborhood? Could you fill it all in? Could you even fill in one household? If not, give it a shot in these next few weeks. Yes, it will take work. Yes, it will take some “mildly awkward conversations.” But yes, it will be worth it.
