Jaime Geideman – Worship Leader

I started attending Central about 3 and half years ago. I had just come out of 9 years of worship ministry at a small local start up Church. I attended Central for about 9 months before reaching out to get involved in the worship ministry. I’ve been a small Church girl my entire life up until Central and thought…how do you do this? How do you even begin to get involved in a large Church? I sent an email to and asked how I might take a step in getting involved and received a phone call that auditions were coming up in a few weeks. I auditioned, interviewed, went through an application process and officially joined the worship team as a servant minister leader, which was 3 years ago next month. After 9 months after serving, I very excitedly came on staff.  Turns out it was really easy to get connected 🙂

I wonder to myself how many folks are sitting in our worship centers, wanting to get connected on our team but are unsure of how or unsure of what the process looks like just like I was. I oversee the vocal team over all 5 campuses and I’d love to take this opportunity to share how you can get involved, not only as a vocalist but as a band member as well.

Firstly, you need to know that we are ALWAYS looking to add people to our team, vocalists and band members! Currently there is a BIG need for male vocalists to serve on our vocal team. Secondly, there is a particular skill set needed for our team so we do have an audition process and we hold auditions once a quarter.

– Vocal Auditions take place in January, April, July & October.

– Band auditions take place in February, May, August & November.

For the Vocal audition:  We have everyone sing lead vocals, sing learned harmonies and create harmonies by ear.  All of the songs & lyrics are sent weeks ahead of time so you have plenty of time to rehearse!

For the Band : The instruments we audition most are drums, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboard and bass guitar. If you play an orchestral/brass/wind/string/percussive type instrument etc. we would still LOVE for you to audition even though those aren’t instruments we use on a regular basis. They are instruments we would love to incorporate from time to time in our worship services.  Again, we send audition material in advance for you to prepare with.

That’s just a quick glimpse into that process but I’d be happy to answer any more questions you may have to help get you connected.
