Your Generosity Is Building God’s Kingdom In Sudan

Jason – Global Outreach

During the 2014 Christmas season, the leadership at Central challenged our church to respond to the incredible physical and spiritual needs within the war-ravaged country of Sudan. I am so proud of how we rallied to the cause to “Stop Hunger, Start Education, and Spark the Gospel in Sudan”. Recently, I had the privilege of traveling to East Africa to get an update from the organization we are partnering with on this project. It was so encouraging to meet with leaders from Cityteam International and hear the stories of what God is doing there. It was such a great reminder of how God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

I feel blessed to have a front row seat to what this church is doing in one of the most unreached and underserved areas of the world. To see how resources like medical supplies, educational materials, and audio bibles are being distributed in the local language.

In addition to meeting physical needs, local leaders are being resourced to make a spiritual impact in their community. More than 50 leaders have been trained in discipleship and are reaching out into 21 tribes and languages that were previously unengaged. In just one year they have seen over 100 discovery bible studies started, more than 50 people make recommitments to faith, with 24 Muslims choosing to follow Jesus, and 15 others committing their life to Christ for the first time.

I am so thankful to Central Christian Church for the investment they made toward addressing the physical and spiritual needs in North Africa.

If you want to hear more of an overview of how God is at work in this part of the world, visit Cityteam International online. If you want to read more powerful stories of how lives are being changed, I would highly encourage you to read Miraculous Movements: How Hundreds of Thousands of Muslims Are Falling in Love with Jesus. It is a powerful book written by our friends at Cityteam International and gives me incredible hope for the future in this part of the world.
