This weekend we kicked off our new summer sub-series in the book of Luke: A Prophet Among Us. In Luke 7:1-17, we saw Jesus’ authority, power, and compassion intersecting with the knowledge, humility, and faith of people who were in need. The common thread through these stories was that the people involved turned to God in their need rather than turning to other things for help.
