Jeremy Jernigan – Executive Pastor of Creative Arts
We had another action-packed two days of leadership infusion this week at Central. Like we’ve done the last few years, we again had the chance to host the Global Leadership Summit from Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago.
We were beyond excited that we sold out this year and had more than 1300 people on our Gilbert campus! Thanks to those of you who attended and those of you who prayed over the time we had together.
The experience is often described as “drinking from a fire hose,” as there is so much that is said to ponder deeply. This year, we intentionally invited people at our location to get involved in a bigger discussion on Twitter. You can read all of our site’s Twitter comments about the conference (even if you don’t have a Twitter account yourself) by clicking here. This is a great way to see what ideas stood out to most people and to also get a sense for the conference experience itself. Not to mention that a few of the tweets are just hilarious.
Like I did last year, I also compiled my own list of the top 20 quotes that stood out to me. You can see my list of favorite quotes by clicking here.
Hopefully you are able to join us next year! Below are a few pictures of the event this year.

Jeremy, Jim and I both went to the Global Leadership Summit and introduced ourselves to you. The talks were great, presented by some of the most well-known speakers in the world including Condoleezza Rice and Bill Hybels, but this morning we heard a sermon by you that was one of the best I have heard. What you had to say about “falling at Jesus’ feet” spoke to both of us and was very moving. Watch out, Cal. I used to be disappointed whenever your name wasn’t on the sermon notes. Thank you both for pouring your souls into leading this church.
