Courage is a very interesting attribute or attitude. If you are like me, when you watch someone do something courageous, you are either inspired or ashamed. Why we are inspired is easy – we are witnessing greatness and the best in someone. But the ashamed part is a little more delicate.
I will think to myself: Why didn’t I do that? Why couldn’t I have seen that opportunity? We will quietly beat ourselves up that we can’t be like that person on the nightly news. But what if I told you that there are opportunities everyday for you to show courage. There are enemies all around you everyday – giants that need to be defeated (anger, greed, jealousy, lust, depression ) and you can be the hero.
When we look at the life of David in 1 Samuel we see a young man step in front of an army in front of a king and defeat a giant. He didn’t have anything fancy in his attack plan he just knew who he was fighting for. David’s courage inspired a nation and is still teaching people that with God on our side we can be courageous and slay those giants in our life.
‘”Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spine of others often stiffens” Billy Graham

You are right!! Our lives are opposed by the evil one and it takes a lot of courage to stand up to him and slay the giants that he puts in our lives!! Take Heart, the one who lives in us is GREATER than the one in the world!!!!!!!
