I had the privilege of staying home for five years with my kiddos. Then it became necessary for me to go to work part time. I did that for four years and then I felt led with the support of my husband and kids to pursue a full time ministry position at Central. My family was so supportive and they knew this would be a BIG change for our family.
I asked them for grace as I figure out how to work full time, manage the house…cooking, cooking, finances, kids activities etc. and still be the involved and invested wife and mother that I long to be.
15 months in…I’m still asking for grace because simply put, I don’t have it figured out.

I’ve been a “musician” for about 14 years now, mostly playing guitar and singing. One thing I’ve noticed about musicians globally is the pursuit of becoming better at your instrument. Now whether or not we put feet to that is another story, but I don’t think anyone who loves to play guitar would ever say, “I’m good knowing the G, C, and D chords – that’s all.” We’re all on a journey in development of our musical skills and talents. In this new day and age with so much accessibility to people’s lives and videos on social media, EVERYONE gets to put in their 2 cents, positive or negative.
