A Hope Revealed
Alex Enabnit – Research Editor
This weekend we finished our “Hope in Hard Times” series about the Book of 1 Peter.
Looking through the last three chapters of the book, Jeremy talked us through the hope that Jesus offers to anyone who puts their faith in Him. Once we begin to follow Jesus, we have all the hope we will ever need! When we submit our lives to Christ, we have the fullness of hope available to us. This doesn’t keep us from suffering – in fact, it is in the midst of suffering that we tend to discover the true hope that we have in Jesus. But a lot of times we don’t see that hope because we tend to filter it out, whether it is from pride, anxiety, or something else. But when we stop filtering out the hope that Jesus gives, we experience it more completely.
With that hope that we have in Jesus, we have the ability to speak hope into others. Once we realize how much hope Jesus gives us, we can pass that hope onto others through our words and actions. True hope cannot be contained!
Where would you find hope if you stopped filtering it out?
